If you're suffering from a non-healing wound, you're not alone. At any given time, almost seven million Americans suffer from chronic, non-healing wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions. These types of wounds keep millions of Americans, just like you, from doing things they love to do.
Named a Center of Excellence three years in a row by Healogics, the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center is distinguished by its multidisciplinary team of dedicated doctors and nurses. They are committed to helping you get your life back.
Many patients find wounds that have resisted healing after months and even years of traditional treatment, finally heal. It's all we do. In fact, for most patients, the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center program leaves them completely healed in just a few weeks.
Chronic non-healing wounds can be associated with complications of diabetes and other related vascular disorders. Pressure sores and traumatic wounds are also common. The Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center uses the most up-to-date approaches to wound healing and remains current in new scientific advances in wound care. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is just one of the many tools available at the center and is useful for diabetic wounds, bone infections and radiation damage. The Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center is a hospital-based outpatient service.
Patients are seen on an outpatient basis and treatment plans involve close coordination with primary care physicians, home health agencies, extended care facilities and the patient's family who play a critical role in their recuperation. Often, patients refer themselves to the clinic or their primary care physician can provide a referral.
