Merrimack Valley Hospital to Offer Seminar on Memory and Cognition

Dr. Buck H. Woo, neuropsychologist and director of the Center for Neuropsychology and Memory Disorders Clinic at Merrimack Valley Hospital, will give a seminar on memory and cognitive function at the hospital on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Dr. Woo’s presentation, entitled Neuropsychology and Retraining of Memory and Cognitive Function,  will help attendees understand why combining neurological assessment with cognitive training is effective, why different memory disorders require different treatments, and how to identify cognitive disorders from patient deficits.

The seminar, which will be held in the hospital’s 1st floor auditorium, is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Light refreshments will be served. One contact hour in nursing will be awarded at the end of the presentation. Merrimack Valley Hospital is located at 140 Lincoln Avenue in Haverhill, MA.
